"Mr. Bond, they have a saying in
Chicago: 'Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third
time is enemy action.'" - Ian Fleming
(from the film Goldfinger)
The Oxford dictionary describes risk
as: "exposure to the chance of encountering injury or loss".
Although we all encounter risk in our everyday lives, we can control
and limit your exposure to it. Within the business domain, we can
greatly stack the odds in your favor. This is achieved by placing
proper safeguards in the various facets of the business - be it
in the field of quality control, contracting, purchasing, human
resources, finances, legal considerations or strategy.
Konfidant has been advising companies
on the theoretical and practical aspects of risk management, contingency
thinking and "worst-case" scenario planning. Especially in these
troubled times, one cannot be ill-informed or afford be immune from
the ever changing rules, laws, regulations and trends in this competitive
business landscape.
